Rooting makes it really easy to solve such issues with the help of custom ROMs and mods. While it is very easy to find good battery-saver apps for rooted Android devices, the Play Store lacks in Apps that can effectively solve the low volume issue on Android devices.

How to Increase Volume on Sony Xperia Z1 with Volume Boost


Because low volume is a serious issue common to most Android devices, we never miss a volume hack mod when it is available for a device. In the past, we have shared volume boost mods for devices like Galaxy S3, S4, Note 2, Note 3, Nexus 4, Xperia Z and a few others. Today we’ve come with another working volume boost hack for Sony’s latest flagship the Xperia Z1 that significantly extends the volume capabilities of the device.

XDA member auras76 has come up a nice remedy for the users of Xperia Z1 users. His volume hack mod can be installed on any rooted Xperia Z1. The mod is available as a flashable zip that can be installed via a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP). Once installed, you’ll notice louder volume on following things:
  • Call volume
  • External speaker volume
  • Headphone volume

How to Install:

If you wish to get an extra pinch of louder volume on your smartphone, just follow the steps given below:
  1. Download the volume boost mod for the Xperia Z1: Volume boost XZ1.zip
  2. Copy the zip file to your device.
  3. Boot your Xperia Z1 in recovery mode. You can also use these apps you can search those apps in this site in the search box to find them to boot the device into recovery mode.
  4. Go to “backup and restore” option in CWM, or “Backup” option in TWRP and create a backup of your current ROM.
  5. If you are using CWM on your device, go to “install zip from sdcard” option, navigate to the volume hack zip file and confirm your selection. In case you have TWRP installed on your device, tap on “Install” option and select the mod file. Then move the slider to confirm installation.
  6. When the mod is installed, reboot your device.
When your phone reboots and is ready for use, play some audio to test the volume intensity. You should experience louder volume. Enjoy!
In case you are not happy with the modded volume and wish to restore it to stock/default value, download the following file and install it using the same steps: Volume boost XZ1 revert.zip

Samsung GALAXY Note 3 Octa vs. Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs. Samsung GALAXY S4 Octa [Video]

Hier haben wir jetzt einen wirklich interessanten Vergleich. Es treten an: das neue Samsung GALAXY Note 3, aber nicht mit dem Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 sondern dem Exynos 5420, das Sony Xperia Z Ultra mit Snapdragon 800 und das Samsung GALAXY S4 mit dem Exynos 5410. Und er Test zeigt, das es einen klaren Gewinner gibt. Doch wer wird es sein? Schließlich ist der Exynos 5420 nagelneu?!

Die Jungs von Mobilegeeks haben sich die drei Modelle Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Samsung GALAXY S4 mit Exynos 5410 und das neue Samsung GALAXY Note 3 mit dem ebenfalls neuen Exynos 5420 vorgenommen. Dabei mussten die drei Smartphone Modelle diverse Benchmarks durchlaufen, und zwar AnTuTu, Quadrant, NenaMark 2, Sunspider etc. Wie ihr seht, eine große Auswahl, schließlich will man ja sehr genaue Ergebnisse haben.


Der neue Exynos 5420 dürfte der interessanteste Prozessor sein, schließlich ist er nagelneu und es gibt kaum Benchmark-Ergebnisse von ihm. Und hier haben wir ihn dann auch gleich im neuen Samsung GALAXY Note 3. Das dürfte interessant sein, welche Performance eher gegenüber dem Snapdragon 800 hat und wie er sich zu seinem Vorgänger verbessert hat. Und die Ergebnisse, wer der Sieger ist, sind eindeutig.

Gut zu erkennen ist der Performancevorsprung des Snapdragon 800 im Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Jedoch liegt ihm der neue Exynos 5420 dicht auf den Fersen. Samsung hat also seinen CPU stark verbessert, denn der Exynos 5410 hinkt doch in allen Belangen hinterher. Noch hat aber der Snapdragon 800 die Nase vorn. Noch.
