Verizon has pumped an OTA system update down the pipeline for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 that adds a few nice features that should pump more life into a tablet that is now a year and a half old. Owners who have maxed out their 16 or 32GB of internal storage will be pleased to know that they can now move apps to an SD card, an option that can be a godsend for a tablet that may be used primarily for gaming.
This update also introduces Ethernet connection support. Now before you do a double-take, you will need an adapter to take advantage of this functionality, as neither the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 nor any other mainstream Android tablet has shipped with an Ethernet port. On the positive side, getting your hands on an adapter really shouldn't set you back too much.
Users may also notice that Verizon has slipped a Messages Application onto their devices as part of the update. Use it or ignore it - the choice is yours.
