How to Install Official Android 4.1.2 XXLT5 Jelly Bean Update on Galaxy Note GT-N7000
Step 1 - Download Android 4.1.2 N7000XXLT5 for Galaxy Note 7000 to your computer and extract the zip file, The extracted folder will contain a .tar.md5 file and a few other files
Step 2 - Download ODIN v3.07 or best download odin v1.8 which will help you to install Android 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy Note N7000.
Step 3: Extract Odin zip file to obtain Odin3 v3.07.exe.
Step 4: Switch OFF your phone and wait for vibration (about 5 to 6 seconds) to confirm complete device shutdown. Now go to Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power button together until a construction Android robot icon with a triangle appears on screen. Now hit Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: open Odin3 on tour computer as an Administrator, as Admin privileges is required to complete the installation process smoothly.
Step 6: Connect your phone to your computer while your phone is in the Download Mode. Connect your phone with original USB cable. When the device connects successfully, the ID: COM box will turn Yellow with the corresponding COM port number. This step might take some time.
Step 7 - Now select the files that you have to flash/install on your phone. These files are to be found from the extracted files in Step 1.
- Click on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name.
- Click on ‘Phone’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
- Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options by selecting the checkboxes. But, the Re-Partition checkbox must be selected, only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step in ODIN.
Step 9: Verify if Step 7 and Step 8 are done correctly. Then hit the START button to begin flashing the update.
Step 10: Once the firmware installation completes, the phone will reboot automatically and soon a PASS message with green background appears in the left-most box at the very top of Odin. Now remove the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Your Samsung Galaxy Note has now been updated to XXLT5 Android 4.1.2 software update.
