The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced the statistics on the number of smart phones on its network at the end of the third quarter, noting that his Crimean subscribers in the percentage of users of smart devices ahead of the Donetsk region and second only to Kiev.
At the end of Q3 2013 in the network of "MTS Ukraine" was more than 4 million units - a 50% increase over the same quarter of 2012. Android remains the leader in terms of growth of other mobile operating systems. The number of devices based on this platform for the year has tripled, exceeding 1.9 million units.
Second place is still for "smart" phones based on Symbian, the market share from quarter to quarter decline. Next come the devices running iOS (+90% YoY) and bada (+24% yoy). Completing the top five rankings devices on Windows, which number over the year an annual increase of 77%.
At the end of Q3 2013, the largest share of smartphone owners - in the Kiev region. This smart-devices are 22.3% of MTS. Just a few per cent did not have the ARC to catch up with the leading region - in the country, there are 21.8% of these users. Following in the top 10 are Donetsk, Chernivtsi, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Kherson, Kharkiv, Transcarpathian and Sumy regions.
